OHLQ | Pollinated Spirits

When WillowTree and OHLQ approached us to continue their “Seed to Sip” series, we knew this was an opportunity to celebrate the often-overlooked aspects of Ohio’s thriving liquor industry. The project was designed to highlight the passion, craft, and people behind the bottles we see on shelves every day. In 2024, we added three new videos to the series: Crafting Bourbon Barrels, Printing a Legacy, and Pollinated Spirits. Each piece told a unique story of dedication and artistry, bringing a new perspective to the distilling process.

Showcasing the Craft

For this series, our goal was to create videos that felt as authentic and engaging as the people and processes they showcased. By exploring the “why” behind each step of the distilling journey, we uncovered the heart and soul of Ohio’s liquor industry. From the meticulous craftsmanship of bourbon barrels to the intricate designs of labels and the vital role of pollinators in spirits production, we captured stories that truly resonated.

Pollinated Spirits

This project for OHLQ highlights the unique collaboration between A.M. Scott Distillery and Duley Apiary, showcasing how honey plays a vital role in the distilling process. By blending the craftsmanship of distilling with the natural artistry of beekeeping, the story captures the passion and dedication behind creating something truly special. From the hives to the barrels, it explores how this partnership transforms raw ingredients into a spirit that embodies both tradition and innovation, all while celebrating Ohio’s vibrant local producers.
